Livestream Your Podcast: The Preflight Checklist That Saves the Show

Live broadcasting rewards preparation. Plan your audio routing, moderation and recovery before inviting an audience.
Rehearse the entire path
Test the microphone through your streaming software and on the destination platform. Monitoring the microphone locally does not prove that viewers hear it. Use a private or unlisted test stream and listen on a second device with headphones.
Keep the show resilient
Use a stable wired connection when available. Prepare a holding screen, a short break message and a local recording. Choose stream settings your connection sustains comfortably. Avoid running at the highest possible bitrate simply because it is available.
Give chat a role
Prepare two audience questions in advance and set boundaries for interruptions. A moderator can collect useful questions while the host focuses on the guest. Confirm permission for music, clips and guest appearances; a livestream does not remove rights obligations.
Your next step
Create a written run of show with opening, segments, audience questions and closing. Practice recovering from a muted microphone and a dropped guest connection before the public session.
