Separate hosting from listening

Your podcast host stores media and supplies an RSS feed. Listening directories reference the feed or provide their own publishing workflows. Keep ownership of your feed and understand export and redirect options before committing to a host.

Submit carefully

Prepare artwork, a readable show description, category choices and a trailer or episode. Follow each destination’s current specifications. Apple Podcasts and Spotify have creator documentation; YouTube video and podcast workflows have their own requirements. Publishing in one place does not mean every destination is configured automatically.

Maintain a canonical home

Give each episode a stable page on your website with notes, links and a listening path. Use consistent titles and descriptions. After publication check the feed, artwork, episode order and playback on several destinations.
